The IAPSO Early Career Scientist Medal is awarded every two years by the IAPSO President at the bi-annual IAPSO Assembly, during which the recipient is invited to make a presentation on a scientific topic of their choice.<\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\">Mar Benavides, a researcher at the Institut de recherche pour le d\u00e9veloppement (IRD), Institut oc\u00e9anographique m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en, Marseille, France, is the winner of the 2019 IAPSO Early Career Scientist Medal in Chemical Oceanography.
