Ocean of Knowledge - Live from the Fête de la Science 2024
Radio Grenouille was present at the Festival des Sciences in Marseille for a live broadcasts from the Place Bargemon ! The theme of this year's event was "Ocean of Knowledge", a chance to dive into the depths of the sea and explore the exciting research involved.
La Grenouille brought together scientists and experts to discuss oceanographic research, scientific mediation and the challenges of marine biodiversity.
The MIO and OSU Pythéas played an active part in the project:
- (From 10'14") Daniela Banaru (MIO) and Sophie Gambardella (CNRS) explained their role as ambassadors for the Fête de la Science and shared their research into marine biodiversity and the issues involved in preserving the oceans.
- (From 37'38") We explored marine research methods with the OSU Pytheas workshop "In the shoes of oceanologists" with researchers Sandrine Ruitton (MIO) and Delphine Thibaut (MIO), and science mediation students Lola Inghels, Xavier Goedert and Morgane Delacour. They shared their work on the impact of human activities on marine environments.
