The Rencontres de l'Ichtyologie en France (RIF) are organised every three years by the Société Française d'Ichtyologie (SFI).
The purpose of the RIF is to disseminate knowledge and promote all aspects of ichthyology: biology, biodiversity, ecology, genetics, evolution, fisheries, etc. of both freshwater and marine fish.
This year, from 24 at 28 March 2025MIO colleagues Daniela Banaru, Thomas Changeux, Anais Esposito and Mireille Harmelin-Vivien took part in the 9th RIF in Paris.
They presented their work on the ecology of fish in the Mediterranean and Africa, the contamination of their food webs, the impact of parasites on the ecology of fish in Corsica, as well as multidisciplinary work linking art and ecology.
