Lauric Reynes, a former doctoral student at the MIO, was awarded the City of Marseille Thesis Prize.

His thesis on "Connectivité et structure génétiques des populations d'Ericaria zosteroides (Fucales) et Laminaria rodriguezii (Laminariales) des côtes françaises" (Genetic connectivity and structure of Ericaria zosteroides (Fucales) and Laminaria rodriguezii (Laminariales) populations on the French coast) won an award in the "Ecology and sustainable development" theme.

The award ceremony will take place on 5 December at 5.30 pm at Marseille town hall.
