The mission of the Oceanographic Institute, Albert I Prince of Monaco Foundation is to promote knowledge and protection of the oceans among all its audiences and to act as a mediator between scientists, civil society players, the general public, political and economic decision-makers and the media. To this end, the Oceanographic Institute created a Thesis Prize in 2013, in addition to the Prince Albert I Grand Medals in the Mediation and Science sections.
The Thesis Prize, worth €3,000, is awarded annually to a young researcher to help them pursue their career.
The Oceanographic Institute is launching a wide-ranging call for applications from institutions that train PhDs in disciplines related to the sea and ocean, including Natural Sciences, the Environment, Law, Geography and History, etc. We are pleased to invite you to spread the word about this seventh edition of the Oceanographic Institute Dissertation Prize among the students for whom you are responsible. We would very much appreciate your collaboration and, to this end, we are enclosing the rules for applications and the form for sponsoring a candidate.
