The IPCC Secretariat has just issued a call for applications from experts to participate in the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as coordinating lead authors, drafting lead authors or reviewers for the various chapters of the reports, according to the structure of the three working groups:
- Working Group I assesses the scientific aspects of the climate system and climate change;
- Working Group II assesses the scientific, technical, environmental, economic and social aspects of vulnerability to climate change, the negative and positive consequences of climate change and the options for adapting to it;
- Working Group III assesses the scientific, technical, environmental, economic and social aspects of climate change mitigation.
These assessment reports for the 7th IPCC cycle will be based on a wide range of expertise in many of the fields identified in the call for nominations appended to this letter. It is hoped that the French scientific community will contribute to their quality.
Applications must be sent no later than 11 April 2025.
