Blue Economy" thesis prize awarded by the Comité France Maritime

The Comité France Maritime has decided to create an annual thesis prize to reward the best recent academic work in the field of the blue economy. The aim of the prize is to raise the profile of the concept of the blue economy, encourage research in this area and bring the worlds of research and business closer together.

 

The €5,000 prize will be awarded for the first time at the Assises de l'économie de la mer conference to be held in Nice on 14 and 15 September 2021. For this first edition, eligible theses must have been defended between 1 January 2019 and 31 May 2021.

 

By way of illustration, theses dealing with areas such as :

the exploitation of natural resources,
environmental issues,
management of coastal areas,
regional planning,
maritime transport,
seaports,
cyber security,
business intelligence...

The theses examined fall within the broad field of the humanities and social sciences. Those of an interdisciplinary nature are also relevant, including those combining humanities and social science disciplines with the natural or exact sciences.
