The "Pépinière d'excellence 2025" call for projects was launched by Amidex on 17 March 2025. The aim of this call for projects is to support research, both disciplinary and interdisciplinary, on the Aix-Marseille site. Its aim is to strengthen the ability of teams to respond to national and international calls for projects.
As well as encouraging the emergence of new, innovative initiatives, it also aims to support research areas that are having difficulty obtaining funding, particularly in the humanities. This includes disciplines such as management science, law and political science, as well as projects that combine the exact sciences with the humanities and social sciences.
Target groups
The Pépinière d'excellence 2025 call for proposals targets 2 types of eligible beneficiaries:
- Researchers, teacher-researchers and university hospital staff who have not obtained research funding in excess of €30,000
- Research units (UMRs and URs) that have not obtained Amidex funding or research funding of more than €30,000 since 1 January 2022.

Objectives of the call
- To encourage first-time applicants on the Aix-Marseille site and university hospital staff, hospital practitioners and clinicians attached to a research unit on the Aix-Marseille site, to become acculturated to scientific project management.
- Provide initial "seed" support for new research initiatives that can respond to major scientific and societal challenges
- Create links and collaborations within Aix-Marseille's scientific teams to encourage the creation of project teams capable of responding to national and international calls for projects.

- 17 March 2025, noon (Paris): Opening of the AAP
- 25 April 2025noon (Paris) : Application deadline
- 2 June 2025noon (Paris) : Deadline for submitting project proposals
- June-July 2025: Selection of projects (administrative eligibility analysis & scientific evaluation)
- September/October 2025: Certification by the Amidex Steering Committee
- September/October 2025: Communication of results (Provisional date)
