  • Contribution of anthropogenic pressures (chemical contamination, physical disturbance) to the ecology of microbial communities at the continent-ocean interface
  • Microbial contributions to the biogeochemistry of major elements (dissolved organic matter, macronutrients) and trace elements (metals) in coastal zones
  • Dynamics, structure and diversity of microbial assemblages (planktonic, benthic, subterranean)
