IMEDEA is pleased to announce the MAllorca Science School (MASS) 2024, a specialised school designed to equip early-career researchers with the knowledge and research skills needed to tackle key environmental challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss and sustainable resource management in iconic ecosystems.
Drawing on a team of international lecturers, the interdisciplinary school will integrate practical research with the theoretical underpinnings of various disciplines, including oceanography, marine and coastal ecology, social sciences and marine governance.
Participants will use cutting-edge methodologies such as satellite data, tracking systems and artificial intelligence to study complex coastal ecosystems. The course will include an excursion to the iconic Cabrera Archipelago Marine and Terrestrial National Park, where participants will observe and study the complexities of interconnected coastal and marine systems across multiple fields of study.
The school is scheduled to take place from 20 to 26 October 2024 in Majorca, Spain.
THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS IS NOW OPEN! UNTIL 31 MARCH 2024
