At a time when methods for analysing scientific image corpora are experiencing a frenzied craze and remarkable development affecting all areas of research, the consortia-HN PictorIA and MASAplus as well as the GT DoReMITI CNRS are joining forces to organise two days of multidisciplinary meetings. The aim is to bring together a wide range of scientific communities to exchange views and practices on the services and automated processing made possible by Artificial Intelligence adapted to images. The aim is to go beyond the strict confines of one's own disciplinary field by tackling the question of how different models can be reused by everyone, and the adaptability of processes and tools, opening up debates on questions of investment, scalability and reproducibility.
Researchers and engineers in the fields of digital humanities, art history, archaeology, sociology, anthropology, information science, bio-imaging/microscopy, astronomy and ecology will be meeting at the Mediterranean House of Human Sciences from Aix-en-Provence, to compare their uses of Artificial Intelligence applied to images, and measure the benefits and points of vigilance (ethical or legal in particular) linked to these technologies.
