CNRS !nsolite visits: Are you ready to face a rogue wave?

As part of the Guided tours of the CNRS that the Luminy wind tunnel opened its doors to the public on 7 October.

This closed-circuit wind tunnel blows over a water channel, creating different types of waves. This installation is virtually unique in France and is usually closed to the public.

Visitors were able to see how the wind tunnel can be used to go from simple wavelets to real ship-destroying rogue waves.

France 3 reported on the phenomenon of the rogue wave.
